Pediatric Surgery services transferred from Latifa Hospital to Al Jalila Children's Hospital
The move aims to integrate specialized pediatric care to best utilize state-of-the-art equipment and expertise.
The decision with benefit both hospitals as they can focus on the provision of patient-centered and internationally recognized levels of gynecological and pediatric care respectively.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 8, 2021: The Paediatric Surgery Service at DHA’s Latifa Hospital for Women and Children has been transferred to Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital.
The move aims to provide specialized pediatric services to children under one roof as well as provides Latifa Hospital for Women and Children with an opportunity to focus on further developing and expanding its obstetrics and gynecological care, an area of expertise it is highly renowned for.
The decision aids both parties and pays emphasis to ensure the highest quality of care that is specialized and accessible.
The decision was taken after detailed studies from specialists and experts in the field as well as after findings from both hospitals which concluded that the integration would help best utilize the modern equipment and techniques available as well as further develop and expand specialized health services.
The transfer will ensure that all the same protocols and provision of the highest level of care continue to be provided to patients. At the same time, there will be no changes in health insurance or any other procedures to ensure smooth implementation of the process as well as to provide high-quality care and convenience.
DHA signed an MoU with Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital in April this year to enhance collaboration with an aim to provide easy access to world-class care and exchange expertise as well as collaborate in specialized pediatric medical fields.
